{Judah} 9 Months Old
Wow, it really feels like we were just taking Judah's eight month old pictures...and he we are at nine months already.
Judah has been keeping us on our toes...he started army crawling a couple of weeks ago. He is so close to fully crawling. We should see it any day now!
Going shopping is one of his favorite things to do...he is a pro at riding in the cart like a big boy.
He could eat Cheerios all day if I let him. Now that he's gotten a little better at chewing, we're able to try new foods like teeny pieces of chicken, carrots, peas, bread, and crackers. He weighs 22 pounds and is 30.25 inches long.
And after months of growing straight up, that hair is finally starting to lay down!
Judah has been sitting up for awhile, but this was the first month that I felt like he had it totally mastered. He's also starting to go from sitting to being on his belly without help.
Growing up too fast! :)

1 Month Waiting
Around a week ago, we finished one month of waiting for our referral and it went by pretty quickly. We knew not to expect a call this month, so I didn't jump every time the phone rang. But, we're pretty sure that we are one of the first families that are paperwork ready in our program. So...we know that it's always possible that a referral call could come at any time.
It's been almost two and a half years since we first started our adoption. Even though there's been some of stops and starts in the middle of it, we have never stopped thinking about our little one. We've also never been this close to the top of a wait list, so it seems very surreal to think about seeing our child's face soon.
As for life lately: I am loving being a stay at home mom and getting to experience all of his firsts. We've taken Judah swimming a few times and he has loved it. I hope he's going to be a born swimmer like his mom! Judah loved to splash and had no fear of water getting on his face or in his mouth. When we don't go to the pool, we do some backyard swimming.
We've also started more finger foods..puffs, Cheerios, and cheese are his favorites.
And during nap time, I've been starting to do more research. I've been bookmarking websites on African hair, looking at kids' bedding, and reading up on toddler adoption.
Here's to one month waiting for brother or sister!
