In early 2009, we were hoping to add children to our family. While waiting to become parents, we learned more about adoption and God’s call for us to love orphans. After lots of prayer and research, we completed our paperwork and were put on the wait list to adopt from Ethiopia.
Several months later, we discovered we were pregnant. Our miracle baby, Judah, was born in 2011. We went on hold with our agency but planned to pick up our adoption soon.
Adoptions in Ethiopia had changed during our pregnancy, so we made the prayerful decision to leave Ethiopia. We still felt a passion to adopt from Africa. We switched agencies and and spent a year waiting in the Ghana program. Unfortunately this did not turn out to be the place where we found our son or daughter.
Now we are pursuing an adoption from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and are hoping that we will add to our family soon!
