More than Sparrows: {Sylvie} 2 Months Old

Our baby girl is two months old...already! She's getting more fun every day.

Sleeping:
Sleep can be a tough one for Sylvie. It really depends on the day whether or not I would call her a "good" sleeper. At night, she has definitely gotten better since her first month.

At the beginning of the month, she would wake up twice a night. If we put her in bed around 8:00, she would usually wake at 1:00 and then again at 5:00 in the morning. I would feed her, and she would usually go back to bed without too much fuss. There were some nights that she would cry after going back to bed but thankfully Judah has been able to sleep through that.

One night (at 7 weeks old) she slept until 4:00 in the morning which was 7 straight hours! But the next night was not so great, and there have been several nights where she has cried for over an hour at bedtime and had to be rocked to fall asleep.

Nap times are harder for her (and me). She is a pretty light sleeper and wakes up with any kind of loud noise...which is not ideal when a noisy three year old also lives in our house.

Sylvie is still being swaddled to sleep. I don't think she loves it as much as Judah did, because she does try to wiggle out of it sometimes. But, she can't fall asleep her arms free so she we're going to have to keep swaddling for a little while.

She loves to be held to sleep. Judah always slept better in his bed but this girl loves to cuddle. Towards the end of the month I could usually get her to sleep pretty quickly by holding her up close to my face and bouncing up and down.

Eating:
Sylvie is a great eater! She is still nursing and it's going well. She eats about every 3-4 hours during the day and is starting to be able to do longer stretches at night.

Growth:
She weighs 12 pounds, 12.8 ounces (82nd percentile) and is 23.75 inches long (94th percentile). Sylvie is wearing all 0-3 month clothes, but she is getting so long that I'll have to move her up to the 3-6 month sleepers pretty soon.

Likes:
Sylvie likes smiling, being held to sleep, being carried in her Solly Baby wrap, and her activity mat

Dislikes:
pacifiers, loud noises, and sleeping when I need a break :)

This morning was not our usual routine but I loved it! Sylvie woke up in her crib but was still so tired that she fell right back to sleep in our bed.
